Itinerary:

Wednesday, September 23, 2026 – Welcome to Paris, France

Upon arrival at Paris Charles de Gaulle International Airport, you will be met by your private coach and Tour Manager who will be with us throughout the journey. We will embark on a panoramic tour of Paris as you travel towards the hotel. Along the way, take in iconic Parisian landmarks such as the majestic Eiffel Tower, the famous Arc de Triomphe, Notre Dame, the Seine River, and many more sights that define the City of Light.  While on tour, we will enjoy a delicious lunch provided by Tom & Linda of Davide Travel. Upon arrival at your centrally located 4-star hotel, you’ll check in and have the remainder of the day at your leisure to relax or begin exploring Paris on your own.

Dinner is on your own this evening, allowing you to experience Parisian cuisine at your own pace. 

 

Thursday, September 24, 2026 – From Paris to Normandy 

After breakfast, depart Paris aboard a private coach heading to Normandy. En route, visit the Caen Memorial Museum, a poignant institution that provides context for the D-Day landings and the events of World War II. Continue with meaningful visits to the American Cemetery and visitor center, where over 9,000 American soldiers are buried, offering solemn reflections on sacrifice.

Make brief photo stops at Omaha Beach and Pointe du Hoc – two of the most pivotal sites in the Normandy invasion. We will stay in Bayeux a charming town untouched by the war.

This evening, enjoy a Welcome Dinner at your hotel's restaurant featuring a three-course meal served with a glass of wine or beer, and coffee or tea.

Friday, September 25, 2026 – Exploring the Beaches of Normandy

Enjoy a full breakfast at the hotel before departing on a full-day guided tour of the Normandy region's historic battlefields.

This immersive day includes a visit to Utah Beach D-Day Landing Museum and the Utah Beach Memorial, commemorating the sacrifices made during Operation Overlord. Later, continue to the historic town of Sainte-Mère-Église – the first town to be liberated by Allied forces. You'll visit the Army Airborne Museum, which vividly recounts paratrooper operations in the area. We will make a quick stop to pay our respects at the Charles Deglopper Memorial Metal of Honor recipient.

Return to Bayeux in the evening. Dinner is on your own, with time to explore the town’s charming restaurants and local fare.

Saturday, September 26, 2026 – Arromanches & Return to Paris

Following breakfast, depart for Arromanches to visit the fascinating D-Day Museum at Arromanches commemorating WWII D-Day landings in Normandy and details the construction of the artificial Mulberry harbors crucial to the Allied landings.  Following the museum, in the afternoon, we will travel back to Paris for a relaxed evening.

Later that evening, enjoy a memorable Seine River Dinner Cruise aboard the elegant Bateaux Parisiens for a dinner cruise consisting of a refined three-course French meal while gliding past illuminated landmarks, offering a unique perspective of Paris by night.

Sunday, September 27, 2026 – From Paris to Luxembourg via Reims

Begin the day with breakfast before departing Paris enroute for Luxembourg. Along the way, we will make a short stop in Reims located in the heart of Champagne country for a Champagne lunch.  While there, we will tour the city to see the famous school house with the Nazis signed the surrender treaty; and its iconic cathedral.

Upon arrival in Luxembourg, we will visit the Luxembourg American Cemetery, final resting place of over 5,000 American soldiers – including General George S. Patton.

Dinner is on your own to explore the local cuisine.

Monday, September 28, 2026 – Journey to Bastogne, Belgium

After breakfast, travel across the border to Bastogne, Belgium, site of the infamous Battle of the Bulge. Visit the Mardasson Monument, honoring American troops who fought this critical battle.

Explore the Bastogne War Museum, a state-of-the-art center offering personal narratives, immersive exhibits, and the underground wartime bunkers known as the War Rooms. See the iconic General McAuliffe Memorial and a Sherman Tank located in Bastogne’s town square.  That evening we return to Luxembourg. 

Dinner this evening is served at the hotel or at a walkable local restaurant and includes a three-course meal with wine, beer, coffee, or tea.

Tuesday, September 29, 2026 – Transfer to Munich – (Erding), Germany

Following breakfast, we depart Luxembourg and enjoy a 6-hr. scenic drive through the heart of Europe, heading towards Munich. Comfort stops along the way including a lunch break near Stuttgart –(home of Mercedes and Porche) will be made along the way.

This evening, explore the city of Erding, and enjoy dinner on your own.

Wednesday, September 30, 2026 – Dachau and Oktoberfest in Munich 

In the morning, following breakfast, we travel to Dachau Memorial Site, where you'll receive audio guides to explore the sobering grounds of the first Nazi concentration camp. It’s a powerful reminder of the horrors of World War II and the resilience of survivors.

Following Dachau, we drive to Munich to meet your local guide in Marienplatz for a 2-hour walking tour showcasing the historic heart of the city – including the Glockenspiel clock, Hofbrauhaus and Viktualienmarkt.

Following the tour, enjoy free time at Oktoberfest fairgrounds – the world-famous festival celebrating Bavarian beer and culture. Grab a Bavarian Pretzel or schnitzel and wash it down with a beer!  We conclude the day with a traditional Bavarian dinner at a local German restaurant in Erding featuring a three-course meal and regional specialties.

Thursday, October 1, 2026 – Visit Berchtesgaden & Onward to Salzburg, Austria

Following breakfast, we leave Erding enroute to Salzburg Austria.  Today's journey takes you through the alpine beauty of southern Germany. First, stop in Berchtesgaden for a visit to Eagle’s Nest, Adolf Hitler’s mountaintop retreat. Enjoy incredible views and a 2-course lunch at Kehlsteinhaus Restaurant.  

Continue into Austria and arrive in Salzburg, the baroque hometown of Mozart and setting of The Sound of Music. Salzburg is also the sight where 600 GIs from the 101st Airborne were located when Germany signed the surrender treaty at the schoolhouse in Reims.  Over 20,000 German Officers and troops located in Salzburg surrendered and turned over their weapons.

Enjoy a gourmet three-course dinner at a charming local restaurant within walking distance of your hotel located in Salzburg.

Friday, October 2, 2026 – Discover Salzburg's Beauty & History

After breakfast, meet your local guide in the hotel lobby for a half-day walking tour of Salzburg. Visit top sites including Mirabell Palace, the Marionette Theater, Mozart’s Residence, Salzburg Cathedral, Trinity Church, and the movie sights from Sound of Music– following in the footsteps of legendary composers and movie stars alike.

The afternoon is yours to explore at leisure to explore Salzburg – perhaps enjoy shopping, sampling Austrian pastries, or strolling along the Salzach River.

Enjoy dinner tonight at your leisure.

Saturday, October 3, 2026 – Zell am See & Farewell Dinner 

It is time to say goodbye to Salzburg and head back through the Austrian Alps toward the Munich airport area. En route, enjoy a scenic 1–2 hour stop in the lakeside village of Zell am See – known for its alpine charm and stunning views.  This is also the village our GIs visited to celebrate the end of the war in the European theater.

Continue to your hotel in Erding (near Munich airport), for your final night in Europe. This evening, join your fellow travelers for a festive Farewell Dinner featuring a three-course meal and a toast to your incredible journey.

Sunday, October 4, 2026 – Departure Day

Following breakfast, transfer by private coach to Munich International Airport for your return flight home, taking with you memories of an unforgettable European adventure that combined history, culture, and camaraderie.
